Aside from being a household name, the Honda Civic has always made headlines in the automotive world. The 11th generation Honda Civic has just entered the global arena.
The Civic is one of the most popular C-segment cars in the world and is considered one of the best in this segment. The tenth-generation Civic, in particular, sets incredibly high bars in terms of performance and styling for both its rivals and successors.
For now, Honda has launched the new Civic as a sedan. The Sportier version and the flagship Type-R version will probably only be available later in hatchback form.
Powertrain and Mechanicals
The sedan is available with two engine options. The base power plant is a 2.0 liter naturally aspirated 4 cylinder petrol engine that produces 158 HP and 187 Nm of torque. The more powerful option is the 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque. All this power is sent to the wheel through a CVT automatic gearbox.
As always, the new Civic features McPherson Straits on the front and a multi-link coil-spring setup on the rear. Although this suspension setup is quite strict, it allows for a more controllable and connected driving experience.
Interior and Features
Honda seems to have heard the reviews about the previous version as it has significantly improved its design for the interior of the 11th generation version. The black interior combined with silver trim pieces gives the car a premium feel.
Price and Launch in Pakistan
The new Civic sedan is said to start at around ڈالر 20,000, while the fully-loaded modern variant can cost up to $ 30,000. Sporty variants like C and Type-R will be more expensive than regular sedan variants.
